A deck collapsed at a home in Aldergrove on Friday afternoon, reportedly injuring dozens of people.

The incident occurred at a home in the 5800 block of 268th Street, during a wedding party attended by more than 100, according to reports.

Just after 5:30 p.m., the second-storey deck broke away from the structure and collapsed, sending partygoers tumbling and causing multiple injuries.

Emergency crews responded to multiple 911 calls from the residence, with 19 ambulances and one air ambulance, as well as Langley RCMP and Township firefighters attending to the scene.

Several individuals suffered broken bones and cuts, but early indications are that none of the injuries are considered life-threatening.

It is not yet known how many people were on the deck at the time of the collapse. Langley RCMP said investigators would work to determine the cause of the incident once the injured had been attended to.

Emergency crews remain at the scene.

More to come.
