Steve Carell is showing support for his hometown Boston Bruins before Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final.
Approximately two hours after “The Office” actress Jenna Fischer tweeted her support for the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday, the Concord-born actor tweeted a photo of himself wearing a Bruins hat, joining fellow “The Office” alum John Krasinski in backing the team on social media ahead of its do-or-die game against the Blues.

Carell played hockey while he was a student at the Middlesex School in Concord and continued to play club hockey while attending college at Denison University in Ohio.
In a 2013 ESPN interview, Carell talked about his decision to start playing hockey for fun rather than envisioning a career as a player.
“At a certain point, you either have to commit to that as a potential career or let it become a fun hobby,” Carell said. “That happened in high school. I had to think about whether I was going to a Division I college hockey program and fight for a job of a goaltender or do something else. Instead, I went to a Division III school (Denison University in Ohio) and played throughout college. It was for fun and not advancing myself.”
