Motorcyclist suffers significant injuries in South Bay crash

MORGAN HILL – A 38-year-old Hollister man was rushed to a hospital with “significant injuries” after crashing a stolen motorcycle in Morgan Hill on Wednesday, authorities said.

The motorcyclist collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Monterey Road and Tennant Avenue about 1:45 p.m., according to Morgan Hill police Sgt. Bill Norman.

Norman said the man was unresponsive when officers and firefighters arrived at the scene. He was taken to Valley Medical Center. An update on his condition was not immediately available.

Witnesses reported seeing the man speeding southbound on Monterey Road prior to the crash. Officers later determined he was riding a stolen motorcycle, according to Norman.

Norman said the driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
