First Male Cheerleaders At Super Bowl Make History

Jennifer Lopez finally addresses those rumors about her performance at the Super Bowl 2020 halftime show. She did not really confirm nor deny her involvement. Instead, she played coy when asked by multiple media outlets.

The singer made an appearance on “Live with Kelly and Ryan” on Wednesday morning and addressed the speculations. She merely laughed them off and feigned innocence when Ryan Seacrest slyly asked if she will be in Miami for the Super Bowl 2020.

“I don’t know. I know everybody’s asking me,” Lopez said amid squeals of excitement from the audience. The actress added that she does not know anything yet and claimed,”they’re starting to think I’m telling people things.”

However, Seacrest pressed on and suggested that headlining the Super Bowl halftime show would be a “great thing to say ‘yes’ to in theory.” J-Lo agreed and said, “in theory, yes….it would be.”

The 50-year-old superstar revealed that performing at the Super Bowl halftime show “would be nice” since it’s something that has been anticipated for many years.

“I can’t say I wouldn’t love it,” she said.

Lopez likewise played coy on the same subject on Tuesday’s appearance on “SiriusXM.” She told host Hoda Kotb, “I don’t know,” when asked about her possible performance at the Super Bowl 2020 halftime show and Kotb took her answer as “not a no.”

Rumors about the “Hustlers” star’s appearance at the Super Bowl LIV started after an insider revealed that she is “at the top” of the performer lists. The source claimed that the actress has been vocal about her interest “to perform at the halftime show and it looks like her dream may come true.” Lopez and the NFL have reportedly been in talks but they have yet to consider the “many factors that go into the deal before it’s official.”

“Jennifer has had an incredible career that spans over decades and this platform would give her the biggest stage ever to showcase it. Jennifer has already worked with the NFL this year promoting the season, so things are looking good,” the source told Entertainment Tonight.

Lopez previously opened up about the possibility of performing at the Super Bowl 2020 halftime show in July, but left the final decision to the big bosses. Likewise, she promoted the league’s 100th season on her Instagram earlier this week. The NFL championship game will take place at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. Until then, fans will have to wait for confirmation on Lopez’s involvement.
