BTS, arguably the most popular music act in the world, has announced a stadium tour that included two Bay Area dates.
More than 100,000 tickets are expected to be sold for these two dates.
Other ticketing details were not immediately available.
The seven-member South Korean boy band — featuring Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook — announced the tour on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
The band will be promoting “Map of the Soul: 7,” the band’s forthcoming seventh studio album that is due out Feb. 21. It is the follow up to 2019’s “Map of the Soul: Persona.”
Since forming in 2013, BTS has attracted a massive — and massively dedicated — worldwide audience that is truly second to none. This tour is certainly a testament to that. It’s extremely rare for an initial artist on-sale to include multiple nights at a stadium in the Bay Area. Usually promoters prefer to just announce a single night first and, if demand and ticket sales warrant, add another date later.
But those rules don’t apply to BTS. And there’s little doubt that promoters are feeling very confident that BTS will pack Levi’s for both nights.
